-Archetypes:D

There are four different types of Archetypes. They are listed as the following: The Ritual, The Journey, Damsel in Distress, and The Hero. I will write about the following and try to explain each one and how they are involved in a modern film. Archetype- the Ritual is in the movie “Aladdin”. The genie at first is a regular guy, and gets punished do to something then gets stuck in a small flask or so and has to grant 3 wishes to whoever rubs it. He is forced to wait for a long, long, long time until the flask is found. Next is The Journey- a classical example would probably “The Odyssey”, or “Hercules”.  They are sent off for a mission, a quest, something that can help them in their life. They have battle off and go throw a lot just to try and find their way back home. Another archetype is  “Damsel in Distress” this is a character, and this appears to be in a lot of movies. Mostly in action films, Animated, Adventurous, and Romance movies. A quiet a few examples would probably be these examples.  In the Classical section- “western movies, Robin Hood, Cinderella, Snow white, Aladdin, Hercules, and The little Mermaid”. In the Modern section-“Spider-man, Super-man, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Nights and Days, Bat Man,  Harry Potter and all the series, Twilight”, and last but not least “Tangled.” The Last and the final Archetype would be The Hero, and this being said many of you can already point out which this category fits in, The hero is in all sorts of movie and you may not even notice it. The following examples may have more than 1 hero or just one hero. : Spider-Man, Despicable Me, Bat Man, Iron Man, Hulk, World Trade Center-9/11, flight 93, Power Rangers, Sponge-Bob Square pants, and ect. Thank you for reading, and I will post more soon.
